Adam Green to play Plug Wed 9th!

If you’ve seen the film Juno, you maybe are aware of how great the soundtrack is. This is in part due to a lovely Moldy Peaches number ‘Anyone Else But You’.
Adam Green in the boy half of the Moldy Peaches. He’s much much more than that though.

Recording musics since the age of about 12, his first album was actually
recorded prior to the Moldy Peaches first release. With dark but funny images created through an almost nursery-rhyme quality his debut album is certainly interesting, but he has moved on a great deal since then.

Last month his fifth studio album ‘Sixes and Sevens’ was released. With each album there’s been a clear progression, from just an acoustic to now being fully backed by a band. Arrangements have grown ever more enthralling, and dare I say it, there’s a little bit of Scott Walker about his latest effort.

Expect brilliant, brilliant stage banter a fair amount of oddness and a lovely little bluesy feel. Go along, kick back and enjoy, most people there won’t care and will just have a world of fun. YES. A WHOLE WORLD OF FUN. You heard it here first.

Listen to anything off ‘Gemstones’ or ‘Jacket full of Danger’ for an immediate hit, or check out www.adamgreen.net or http://www.myspace.com/adamgreen1 for a few tracks off his new album (plus ‘Emily’ from Gemstones).

Support comes from the always impressive Noah and the Whale (http://www.myspace.com/noahandthewhale).

Watch this spaace for the review from Ben Hayes.

This will be a lot of fun, Green unpredictable but undoubtedly a performer, get
down, observe, partake and enjoy.
