Youthmovies to hit Corp on the 18th!

Whatever they might be Youth Movies are definitely not easy to describe.
With an album released only one day before the Sheffield date of their tour it is most likely to be a show case for new material, this may cause some more interesting dance moves from the crowd as even previous fans will not be able to predict where songs are going.

Previously known as Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies, this oxford-based group will take you on a journey through time space and several sub-genres. Picture a band making intelligent, original, arty, prog-like post-hardcorish music just for music’s sake, and throw in a trumpet for good measure. If you like your music to get you involved in a feeling, marvel at their technical ability and demand you think whilst you try to dance you may just enjoy what Youth Movies do.

The supports tonight are an interesting combination of local talent. The Situationists, who you may have seen at Fuzztival last October, sound like The Futureheads meets Hot Club de Paris, whereas Rolo Tomassi could be described as “disco-thrash”. Both bands have received praise for their live performances, although from very different sectors.
