Adam Ant and Zorro join Cllr Jones (m) for the launch
Adam Ant and Zorro were on out on the streets of Sheffield City Centre today as the latest version of the city’s A-Z guide containing all the contact details you’ll ever need for local public services was launched.
The A-Z Guide to Public Services, now in its second year, is this month soon to be dropping through every letterbox in the city.
The Guide is packed with key contact and emergency numbers and a comprehensive listing of contact details for both residents and businesses.
Contact details for every type of Council service from adoption, air quality and anti-social behaviour to weddings, what’s on and wheelie bins are in the Guide.
The Guide is being published in advance of Customer Service Week, 1-7 Oct, which the Council is celebrating this year with its partners Kier, Liberata, Sheffield Homes and South Yorkshire Police.
Cllr Steve Jones, Deputy Leader of Sheffield City Council, who joined Adam Ant and Zorro for the launch, said: “We want to be an open and customer friendly Council, so we’ve created this guide to help make it easy for residents and businesses to contact us. We offer a variety of services to the public and we’re here to help so do keep your Guide and refer to it through the year for any service you need.”
“I hope you find the Guide useful, but we’re always looking to improve and innovate, and give the Sheffield public value for money.”
Copies of the guide will be delivered with Your Sheffield magazine. If you don’t receive a copy by the end of September, or you would like an extra copy please contact Sheffield City Council on 205 3546 or email. The A-Z guide can also be viewed online at: www.sheffield.gov.uk.
