Two goals in the final five minutes gave Sheffield Wednesday a surprise 4-2 win away in Stoke, while Sheffield United had to come from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Preston.
The Owls’ win takes them up a place to 22nd and they are now only one point behind their Steel City rivals. Sheffield United will head to Leicester on Tuesday while Wednesday welcome Scunthorpe United to Hillsborough.
